Hi there everybody! First of all let me tell you that this is my last blog in this course, so it's timo so say goodbye, but I think that before leaving this experience, I should talk abou how did I lived this experience.
I think that this was a very funny activity to do in English class, instead of being just working with the book, because as students we have to practica a lot our english, because of all the "papers" that we have to read when we have to study or when we have to do some research for a presentation, also is nice to work in the computers because as we upload the blogs every week, it becomes an open window for everybody who wants to read your entrances, and it's not a thing that just the teacher reads and evaluate.
Other thing that I have to say about the blogs is that it's a really nice instance to improve our vocabulary and our grammar in general, because it's not just about read sentences like anybody could do it, but we have to give a real meaning to what we write, so that's what I think this is a nice method to learn.
And well, one of the things that I don't like much about blogging are the topics of the blogs, because I think that all the blogs should be related to sciences, because that's what we matter now, so maybe that's one of the things I don't like, and the other thing is that in my case I don't know how the blogs are evaluated, so I don't know if what I write is good or bad, so that's it, and I think that tose are things that are really easy to fix.
And well, this are my last words, I hope you enjoyed what I wrote during all the blog sessions, so goodbye and good luck in the final exams.
Greetings Piero...

"Do Schools Kill Creativity" Talk Review
Today I will write a review, about Sir Ken Robinson's conference, which is entitled "Schools Kill Creativity", and well in this conference Sir Robinson talks about the mistakes that we are comitting in our traditional education system, because we are not enhancing the real habilities of the students.
And well, first of all I must say that one of the highlights is the big interest of this men in education, also this men, Sir Ken Robinson, is a person who can catch the attention from the audience with clear words and with a lot of jokes, his control over the things he says is really remarkable and his standing in front of the audience is with authority about what the topics he talk about.
One of the things that he mentioned and that i think that is true, is the fact of the schools don't develop the other kinds of habilities that students could have, because in the schools the main subjects are the ones related with numbers and literature, and the they don't work with artistic habilities like dancing or painting, etc. So this herairchy is what kills creativity on the students who have other kind of skills.
The other topic to distinguish is the fact that little kids are not affarid to be wrong, but when they grow up, when they become adults, they accquire the affraid to be wrong, which don't let them to be creatives.
And finally, he menttiones that our task is to educate the student's whole being, so they can face the future as integrals persons, the ones who can be the best in what they are really the best
So that's it, Greetings!

My Ideal Job... VideoGames Tester
Hi everybody! today I will write about my ideal job, and that would be "Videogames Tester", and in my opinion this is a very relaxed job because I just have to sit and play a lot of videogames, and oubviusly that I get paid for it, to get this job I need some really special habilities, because I have to take not of every mistake in the games so I can tell to the gamemakers and they can fix the problem, so the game would be perfect for selling.
I think that I would be goos at this job, because I like to play Videogames a lot, but now that I'm in the university I almost don't play any because the studies are the most important right now, and when I play at them I use to pay a lot of atettion to every detail in the game, such as in the textures, the sounds, the playability and the whole content of the games, not caring if they are sports games, adevnture games, action games, or any kind.
I think that this is a very difficult job to find because here in Chile the videogames market is not really developed, because in this country we used to play the videogames that comes from other nations, mainly USA, so that is the reason why I think that this is a job that i could find in countries where the videogames industry is light years developed from our country.
So that's it... this my ideal job, but let me say that this is just like a never came true dream, so that's why I'm now studying Obstetrics, and I have to say that I love what I'm in to.
That's all people see you in the next blog.... Greetings!

My Favourite Subject
Hi classmates! Today I will talk about my favourite subject, and at this point my favourite one is Embriology! And well this subject is taught by many teachers such as Professor Miguel Concha or Professor Mariana Rojas, and my seminars are with Professor Rojas.
I like this subject because it is really important for my career of Obstetrics and also because it has been really exciting to study with real embryos and fetus of different animals such as mice, zebra fish, chickens, and also with Human fetus en embryos, which was kind of shocking at first but with the time I'm getting used to it, because it will be my work in the future.
And well this semester I have learnt how to calculate the age of the embryo, also about how the heart is formed and also I have learnt how to recognize some structures in the microscope.
Finally, I hope to get a good mark at the exam because the subject is great but there are a lot of names and structures to recognize.
Well, that's all, See you at next Blog!
Bye!!!

An Ideal Future...
Hi Classmates! Today I will write about what I would like to be doing in 5 years from now... (not considering this year because if I consider it, I'll still be at the University)
Well I can say that in 5 years I would like to live and to be working as an Obstetrician, in a clinic in the south of our country, could it be in Los Angeles, Puerto Montt, or wherever in the south, because I really hadn't been at the south of the country but, i think that is a nice place to live and also because the actual obstetric attention is not that well as the pregnant womens there need. I would like to have a boat and bring the obstetric attention to the people who lives in different islands, like in Chiloé.
Personally I would like to have a big house, and to get married and have a lot of kids with my wife, also as I said before I would like to have a boat the travel from island to island paying the obstetric atenttion to the people who need it.
And well finally I have to say that I would like to travel to different countries in the world, like Italy, Japan and Brazil...
Well, that's it... and I hope that someday I could accomplish all my dreams and to be happy...!
See you in the next Blog!
Bye!!!

The Best In Your Area...
Well today I will talk about my Embriology teacher, miss Mariana Rojas Arauco, she's an academic of the Biomedical Sciences Instute of the Universidad de Chile's Medecine Faculty and also she had her specialization in Reproductive Biology at Spain. I like her because she's until is my best teacher in the "Cellular Bases, Genetics and Embriology" subject, I mean the way she teaches us all the things about the Embrionary Development, motivates me to study and to learn more about this subject, that is really importante for me in the career of Obstetrics.
Dra. Mariana is a really relaxed person, she's always smiling, and also she never seems to be stresses, and all this is because she took a course about floral arrangments called Ikebana, which is a Japanese Philosophy, it's a ritual where the person move the garden to the inside of the house, creating a shrine that represents, heaven, earth and men.
Well, Dra. Mariana Rojas is also a veterinary and she is working with a team of experts to clonate a Huemul and the Pudú, which is a kind of deer, but little, which are about to become extinct. You can read more about this in the nex link: http://www.conciencia-animal.cl/paginas/noticias/noticias.php?d=1624
